[The feed cuts on a few days after everyone's homecoming from Gigas. The warp band isn't focused at first and looks a little low to the ground. It's obvious that it's being handled by a pokemon after a few minutes. If not by the weird shakey picture then by the very pleased "Bulbasaur- saur!" that follows once it's raised to a reasonable height to capture the scene.]
[Cyan and Ranka are over by one of the big fountains downtown. Cyan is sitting on the edge, plucking at her guitar. She pauses and-]
What if I tried something like this?
[She plays a bouncy set of notes and then looks up for Ranka's imput.]
[There's a quiet "Azu" as well - a bit mischievous, a bit warning not to make too much noise. For her part, Ranka's a bit distracted, and after those notes she follows up by humming the same melody, and then hums a very rough harmony, and nods.]
Yeah! That's a really good start, it's got, um, pep!
[Ranka giggles a little at her own word choice.]
[Cyan giggles in turn and nods. She strums her guitar a few times, seeming pleased with that. She looks up.]
I'm glad! Okay, then... do you want to try and put everything together?
[The bulbasaur holding the warp band makes a quiet, excited sound. Something that could be understood in pokemon as at last! maybe the warp band will get a performance.]
I think we've got a good base to start from! Let's give it a shot!
[Ranka's excitement is starting to bubble over, and she's practically hopping back and forth from foot to foot, and an Azumarill grins. If THIS doesn't get Ranka's career started then he doesn't know what will!
No seriously he knows nothing about promoting musicians properly, but he sure means well.]
[Luckily, they go unnoticed for now. Cyan is practically glowing with excitement. Getting to preform with someone else was really exciting and her tail swishes back and forth as she settles herself, nods a few times to get the rhythm started in her head and starts to play.]
[The instrumentals start, and Ranka taps her feet, finding the rhythm. Her lyrics are going to be a total placeholder, and she starts to work on her end of the melody with just a lot of 'lalala'. Very musical, clear, and quite beautiful words without words, but just as she's about to start on some actual lyrics her eyes visibly flit towards the camera and she freezes.]
I-i-is that on!?
[Bobby the Azumarill leaps away with a squeak that translates pretty closely to 'busted!']
[Bass the Bulbasaur follows suit, dropping the warp band as Cyan lets out a very distressed KYAAAAAA TURN THAT OFF! The feed shuts off.]

History: Her wiki page is a little brief but here is a Run down of her series which is what I would be putting here pretty much. We don't really get to learn a lot about Cyan's home life other than she has apparently moved a lot in the past and that she's been interested in music since she was a small kid, writing and playing all by herself up until highschool.
AU History:
Cyan Hijirikawa was born Gigan. She lived a pretty uneventful life, growing up comfortably though somewhat of a shy shut-in who was passionate about music. Her talent caught the eye of someone prominent in the enhanced project and scouted her. Not ..really knowing what she was signing up for (A chance to do good? Raise her confidence? Expand her abilities? Let's give it a try!), she agreed.
In the end she went under several procedures and became an Enhanced that had to rely on a weapon centered around her powers. With her typing and reliance on music based attacks she had the potential to be extremely powerful. Though her abilities were volatile they were considered a success.
She was meant to be a part of a small team of elite Enhanced but before they could finish their work on her, someone intercepted. A rogue Gigan traitor who'd been burned by the whole operation busted in and shuffled her out. He gifted her with her guitar, Strawberry Heart, the weapon they'd designed to work around her powers. The item she needed to even use them without serious detriment. He told her to keep it safe, to keep herself safe, and to go to Union.
That place would help her. And that would be the place she could use her new abilities for good.
Between all the horror of the procedure, the shock of her escape and the mess that was her psychic abilities. She made it out of Gigan territory with little memory of her life before. She resolved to at least make it to this "Union" place and figure out what to do from there. At the moment, it was literally all she knew.
Canon Personality: Cyan is every bit what you might expect of an average highschool girl. She is leaning a bit more on the shy side, but as her life has gone, she hasn't seen much worse than maybe a heart break or the disconnect of being moved around a lot before highschool. Still, that doesn't mean there's nothing else to her, not by any means. Cyan is someone who, despite being normal in most aspects, shines when she's pushed into action. She might be a shy girl with a love of music, but she can also be caring and courageous when the chips are down.
So let's start with one of the more important things to know about her. Cyan loves music. Music is her life. From a very small age she's pretty much done nothing but listen, write, and play music. It was a hobby she loved so much that she just did it for years alone in her room. She didn't need the audience aspect so long as she could play and create. The act of creating music is what was enough for her. As such, she takes music very seriously. Concerts are an absolute delight for her and the act of interrupting one? Absolutely unforgivable. In fact, the very first hint of anger we see from her in canon was from a monster breaking up a concert. It bothered her so much that she pretty much attacked the thing just for that (and presumably because the monster was trying to taint the musicians but mostly the concert).
That said, for all her love of music, she's still a teenage girl and she still very much sought friendship and those with like interests. That's what lead her to wanting to be in a band or to join the school club. That, coupled in with a desire to not give up on something she was set to do, was her motivation for agreeing to fight the Dark Monsters and return home. She's a little bit one-tracked and easily overwhelmed and is prone to try and deflect bigger problems by focusing on something less terrifying. One example of this would be her deflecting the issue of her being lost in a different world in favor of focusing on being asked to join a band. She was quick to push the former away for the latter. And for all her skill with the guitar, she is prone to self doubt and is quick to downplay her abilities. Her confidence in general, tends to need a little building up from early on. Despite that she is a fierce and loyal friend who is sympathetic to others and quick to help when someone is in need.
However, while she has a pretty strong resolve and she's stubborn enough to not give up on things she's set out to do, that doesn't mean she's got an iron will to back it up. Though you wouldn't say she's easily frightened so much as she's about the normal levels of frightened. If you were dropped in a new world and told to fight monsters, you'd be pretty freaked out, too! However, it is her fear that tends to hold her back a lot. It's a little harder for her to find her brave face and she takes longer to get up and push through it that one might expect a protagonist. However, with that said, she will push through that fear when it comes down to it. She does find that brave face.
Because in reality, being brave isn't the absence of fear- it's your ability to hold your ground through that fear and come out on top.
AU Deviation:
The biggest deviation from canon is that she actually doesn't remember a whole lot about where she came from. She's building from an almost blank slate. Though, it isn't stopping her from wanting to learn but it's less of a need to get home and more of a desire to figure out what she's trying to do with her self.
She's being given even less to go on here than she was in canon and her constant nudge to go save the world is literally in her head, rather than an actual person possessing a guitar and yelling at her.
In this game she's also going to be a whole lot less alone in her fight and that will honestly make things a lot less scary for her.
Canon Abilities:
She's a musical prodigy! Though she's kept it to herself her whole life, she's extremely gifted in playing guitar and writing music. So much so that she was yanked out of her world in order to be the musician the villain tried to use to take over the world.
When in Midi-City and as a Myumon (The race of musical animal people that makes up Midi-City) her abilities with music are much more tangible. With her guitar and skill she's able to actually defeat huge towering monsters! The mechanics of that are not super well defined beyond a standard handwave of ITS MAGIC but, it's reiterated in the series that her soul (and the special crystal at the core of her being) shine the brightest the better she gets at music and that is somehow the key to her being able to blow up kaiju sized monsters with a rad guitar solo.
Enlightened Abilities:
To mirror that in Brave New world Cyan will be a Fairy/Psychic Enhanced. Being Enhanced and Gigan will parallel her displacement in canon of being yanked out of the "real world" and dropped into Midi-City. Her trainer ability will be Mastery of Evolution, seeing as her bid deal was how quickly her talent (and crystal) evolved through the course of the series. Her Enhancement will be taking GHOST down to "normal damage". In return she comes with a number of problems with her overall mental state. Pitch black darkness is a quick way to make her panic and lose normal control of her psychic abilities. Her powers in general MUST be channeled through her guitar or they run the risk of some serious damage. She also has conversations with her guitar, hearing a voice from it very similar to the one who saved her from the experiments. She's dubbed him Mr. Berry.
Strawberry Heart, her guitar is a fairy typed guitar that lets her channel her abilities. How good she does depends on her playing and relative confidence. The guitar itself works and sounds like any electric guitar despite not needing an amp or ....electricity. It's powered entirely by the fairy half of Cyan's abilities.
As for her growing abilities and evolutions, she will basically go the way of stronger more powerful sound based attacks. While a majority of her abilities will always have to be channeled through her guitar, once she hits her final evolution she can use some lower level moves without having to play. Her appearance won't change all that much over the course of her evolution save for maybe a few more cat-like traits here and there. Her last evolution will give her more of an otherworldly vibe thanks to her fairy half.

Oh! Oh...that's a really nice story. Um, I mean. It's not nice because of all the bad stuff that happened but the ending is nice. The savior was really brave to stand before all those gods. And it's important to realize when you've done something wrong and try to fix it. Even if it's really scary. I wish I could be that brave...
